As many of you are aware, we have had our last meet at Wirreanda High School. After over 30 years of enjoying many great times at this facility, we have come to an immediate end to our lease which we didn’t have the opportunity to negotiate.

Our intentions to re-locate to Christies Beach High School at the beginning of 2012 did not move forward as fast as we had planned, due to various reasons. At the beginning of this season, when we negotiated our lease at Wirreanda, it was verbally expressed that we would sign a lease until the end of 2011 and if CBHS is not ready for us by then, we will re-negotiate the second half of our season. According to Wirreanda, that conversation never took place and they supposedly re-leased the facility to someone else without any liaison with our club.

Wirreanda have given us until January 15th, 2012 to vacate the school with all our equipment.

CBHS have, after many talks and meetings from our committee, been very accommodating and stated that we can move there immediately. These are going to be very trying times ahead for all of us as we do not have a storage shed yet. We do not have the required areas to run our usual program yet. We will be operating out of a storage container until a shed is erected. There is limited space in the container so we may not have all our equipment available. We may be running a modified program for a while.

BUT, WE WILL CONTINUE AND SUCCEED!!

With the support and understanding of our athletes and families, we will, just like the athletes, strive to ‘BE OUR BEST’ in making sure everything runs as well as it can under the circumstances.
